May 14 Sedona

Nights are chilly in Sedona !!  Mid 40’s .. additional blanket and furnace pressed into action. After breakfast & showers .. headed to downtown Sedona .. 20 min ride from our campsite. Spent some time in a visitor center .. getting some good info and a lot of maps & brochures. With maps in hand we started driving around town .. stopping to take photos of the ‘Red Rocks’ .. hiked a few small trails. Thought we’d use today as scouting the area day .. figuring out where points of interest are .. so we can come back on another day.  Red Rocks look pretty amazing .. especially with bright blue backround.

After hiking some trails we did some poking around Sedona and found a very nice (and Sedona expensive) little courtyard that had a lot of Arts & Craft type stores.  Tlaquepaque is the name of  the ‘village’ thats located in Sedona. Nice landscaping …

Tomorrow we’re going to visit Red Rocks State Park and hike a few more trails .. Then off to visit another local small town .. Jerome.
